Consulting
My consulting practice is based on the principles of collective intelligence and systems thinking.
Collective intelligence is a shared or group intelligence that emerges from the collaboration of many individuals.
Systems thinking is an approach to problem solving that views “problems” as parts of an overall system, rather than reacting to present outcomes or events and potentially contributing to further development of the undesired issue or problem.
The practices I use to help clients achieve sustainable results through collective intelligence are those centered around organizational learning:
- Personal Mastery – learning how to choose: picking the MOST RIGHT results and actions to achieve your personal and collective goals
- Mental Models - developing awareness of the attitudes and perceptions that influence thought and interaction.
- Shared Vision – establish a focus on mutual purpose
- Team Learning - Through techniques like dialogue and skillful discussion, teams transform their collective thinking and learn from past patterns which enable them to tap into collective intelligence
Areas of Expertise:
- Working with teams to define strategies and plans, and develop tactics, measurements and learning to achieve their targets and goals
- Merging teams, departments or companies in an effort to “become one team”
- Raising the bar on performance expectations
- Dealing with difficult interpersonal relationships within a group and changing them for the better
- Designing employee engagement processes during times of change
- Designing and implementing sustainable change efforts

I mean, not just checking things off a to-do list or focusing on an employee survey score and raising it. This is about really feeling a sense of awe because together you did something different this time. You found the high leverage points to achieve success. You had real conversations with your co-workers that inspired creative thinking. There was no fear of conflict and you eliminated surface talk. It can happen. It does happen. Are you up for it?
